Long Persistence Phosphors

The basic formula of rare earth aluminate long persistence phosphor is SrAlO4: Eu, Dy. By modifying its composition with different additives, the phosphor can emit a color of green, yellow, blue, white or other colors. After activating by either visible light or ultraviolet, its emitting duration can reach up to 12 hours and its intensity is much higher than zinc sulphide (ZnS). These features make the rare earth long persistence phosphor a much better candidate over other phosphors such as ZnS in many applications. Currently this phosphor is widely used as a pigment added into paints, rubbers and plastics for applications such as billboards, traffic signs, decorations and toys. Phosphors for Trichromatic Lamps:

Stanford Materials Company supplies both individual color (red, green and blue) lamp phosphors and pre-mixed lamp phosphors with temperatures ranging from 2700 to 6700 K. Both aluminate and phosphate phosphors are available. With their fine-tuned particle size distributions, these phosphors can be directly used to lamp tubes without a milling process or with a gentle disagglomeration process. These phosphors are specially suitable for making high performance energy saving lamps. Inquiries of custom-made phosphors are also welcome.

Phosphors for Color TV Screen:

The technology and production line, which we use to produce our color TV phosphors, were adopted from Toshiba of Japan. Now these color TV phosphors are widely used for productions of 18" to 29" TV tubes. The chemical and physical properties as well as secondary characteristics, such as screening characteristics, of these phosphors are strictly controlled to ensure productions of high quality TV tubes.
