Lanthanum (III) Bromide (LaBr3) Hydrate is a rare earth bromide material, which is soluble in water. Like other bromides, LaBr3 absorbs water easily when exposed to moist air. The content of LaBr2 can be detected by adding CS2 and Cl. When doped with CeBr3, LaBr3 can exhibit superior scintillation properties. It has been used in water treatment, catalysts, and semiconductors.
