Our cerium (III) chloride products are clearly tagged and labeled externally to ensure efficient identification and quality control. Great care is taken to avoid any damage which might be caused during storage or transportation.
Cerium(III) chloride is used in incandescent gas mantles, spectrography, and polymerization of olefins. It acts as a Lewis acid and is used in Friedel-Crafts alkylation and acylation reactions in organic synthesis. It is used as a precursor for the preparation of other cerium salts, such as cerium(III) trifluoromethanesulfonate.
