Yttrium Dihydride Description

Synonyms: yttrium (II) hydride, yttrium hydride

Yttrium (Y) is a rare earth element that is soft, silver-metallic, and lustrous. In its pure form, Yttrium is relatively stable in air in bulk form and very unstable when divided. Yttrium forms a water-insoluble fluoride, hydroxide, and oxalate. However Yttrium bromide, chloride, iodide, nitrate, and sulfate are soluble in water.

Yttrium dihydride is with ferromagnetism. It is also a metal conductor, but its electrical resistance is weaker than Yttrium Metal.
