Micro lanthanum hexaboride has diverse uses in traditional & high-tech industries like mechanics, electronics, aeronautics, metallurgy, chemistry, environment, etc.
Micro lanthanum hexaboride LaB6 Powder is an inorganic chemical, a refractory ceramic material with a melting point of 2210 °C and density 2.61g/cm3. It is insoluble in water and hydrochloric acid. It has a low work function and one of the highest electron emissivities known, and is stable in vacuum. Micro lanthanum hexaboride has diverse uses in traditional & high-tech industries like mechanics, electronics, aeronautics, metallurgy, chemistry, environment, etc.
Micro lanthanum hexaboride Applications
Micro lanthanum hexaboride is used in hot cathodes, either as a single crystal or as a coating deposited by physical vapor deposition. LaB6 is also used as a size/strain standard in X-ray powder diffraction to calibrate instrumental broadening of diffraction peaks. LaB6 is a superconductor with a relatively low transition temperature of 0.45 K. --- in radar aerospace, in the electronics industry, in environmental protection, polyethylene film sheet surface coating to keep out sunlight and infrared.
